2011 will be the year of generation Lexus GS. expect to see a high performance Lexus GS F version join the party. Sitting on a new platform, the base 2011 Lexus GS will lose about 1 inch from the front overhang while the width and tread will both expand by about the same amount. Will remain the same wheelbase at 112.2 inches, but will stretch the cabin height 1.3 inches.

Gone is the current 4.6-liter V-8, replaced by a 2.5-liter V-6 – most likely the current version of the engine found in the IS. 3.5-liter V-6 will be part of the range. About a year after launch, a 2.5-liter hybrid will reportedly be added to the lineup GS.
